Milena Soto, a member of Resistencia Juvenil Cochala, was arrested and her house was searched this afternoon while she was under house arrest. The incident occurred the day after the visit of the President of the Permanent Human Rights Assembly, Amparo Carvajal, and Carolina Ribera, daughter of former President Jeanine Áñez.
“I have an arrest warrant. I will work together. In a few moments I will open the door (of the house) and I will go down to be caught. They didn’t tell me about the case, ”Soto said on a Facebook broadcast.
At around 5:30 p.m., police and prosecutors arrived at the home and tried to enter the force, Soto said.
The RJC member blamed Vice Minister of the Interior and Police, Nelson Cox, for the safety of her son.
“Anything that happens to my son will be your fault, Nelson Cox,” Soto said minutes before he was arrested.
Cox today criticized Carvajal for offering his support to the RJC and reiterated that he will not allow the group to reticulate.
