Vice Minister of Health Systems Management, Álvaro Terrazas, announced that vaccination of people over the age of 18 would start in August.
“We will be evaluating next month, most likely by the end of the following month, and this age group will be included in August,” he said.
The authority admitted that more young people are infected in the third wave than in the first and second waves.
In addition, the health of young people infected with the virus is complicated.
“Yeah, you’re getting a little more sick than before, more seriously? Yes, ”he said.
He reminded the population that after receiving the first dose of the vaccine, they must proceed with biosafety measures as it does not mean they are immunized.
Currently, the vaccination plan is reaching people over 30 years of age.
