They are calling Camacho to testify this Thursday in the event of funds being diverted

Santa Cruz Governor Luis Fernando Camacho was called as a witness this Thursday as part of the investigation into the alleged diverted funds for the campaign during Rubén Costas’ tenure.

According to the subpoena, Camacho has to testify in the anti-corruption department of the public prosecutor’s office this Thursday at 3 p.m.

Prosecutor Roger Mariaca pointed out that, according to Camacho’s testimony, the prosecutor in charge of the case will “evaluate all due diligence”.

Santa Cruz Government Minister of Justice Efraín Suárez condemned Monday that in the management of former Governor Rubén Costas, a public budget of more than 700,000 baht was allegedly allocated for information on the fight against Covid-19 in support of the candidacy of Roly Aguilera to the mayor’s office.

The defendants are former governor Rubén Costas; former mayoral candidate Roly Aguilera and councilor Manuel Saavedra, who have to present their defense.
