After more than 10 hours of debate, the House of Representatives approved the draft general state budget law PGE 2022 early on Friday with an absolute majority. The rule provides for a consolidated total of Bs 235,090,146,636 to be distributed among the public authorities, as well as governments and mayors.
“After the debate and explanation by Economy Minister Marcelo Montenegro and the intervention of the President of the Commission (for Planning, Economic Policy and Finance, Omar Yujra), doubts were dispelled and, based on this, the General State Budget 2022, which is based on the pillars of health, education and economic reactivation builds up “, said the President of the Chamber of Deputies Freddy Mamani.
Of the total budget, US $ 5,015 million is allocated to public investments for productive projects (42.5%); Infrastructure (29.9%); social projects (17.2%); and multisectoral (10.5%).
These investments are financed from external funds (43%) and internal funds (57%).
“The health budget will be Bs 23,590 million, which is 10% of the consolidated PGE. Education will also receive Bs 25,370 million, which is 10.8% of the consolidated PGE, ”said Deputy Omar Yujra.
