The former President of the Chamber of Deputies, Sergio Choque, was sworn in this Friday by the Minister for Public Works, Services and Housing, Édgar Montaño, as the new managing director of the Mi Teleférico cable car company.
During the event, the Minister of State entrusted the new manager with the implementation of the appropriate measures, such as the possible expansion of new routes and, if necessary, with investigations into alleged acts of corruption during the previous term of office of the former President Jeanine Añez.
As a militant of the Movement towards Socialism (MAS), Choque was a member of the last legislative administration and later President of the Chamber of Deputies. In the last sub-national elections, he emerged as a candidate for mayor of El Alto.
For his part, the former legislator named as his main tasks the improvement of user service and the coordination of new projects with the state Mi Teleférico with the municipalities of La Paz and El Alto.
