Following the formal indictment of five members of the Cochala Youth Resistance, the precautionary hearing of Milena Soto and Jaime Maldonado was held that Sunday in the offices of the Cochabamba Special Unit to Combat Crime (Felcc).
The other three defendants are Yassir Molina, Marios Bascopé and Fabio Bascopé, who are in San Roque prison in Sucre. The defense of the five defendants is present at the virtual hearing.
The complainant in the complaint is former deputy Juana Quispe Ari. Members of the RJC are advised of the alleged crimes of criminal organization, deprivation of liberty, serious and minor injuries, crimes against public health, public incitement to commit a crime, preventing or hindering the exercise of functions and manufacture committing explosives or possession of substances, including for events recorded between 2019 and 2020, the defense said.
The hearing was scheduled for 1:00 p.m. but was postponed for about an hour. Relatives of those arrested in Cochabamba hold a vigil in front of the doors of the Felcc.
