Potosí: Trade unions and citizens' groups block the city center on the eighth day of the strike

The open-ended strike in Potosí against Law 1386 continues for the eighth day in a row, especially in the center of the city, with blockades by the trade unions and the Potosinist Citizens’ Committee (Comcipo).

According to reports from El Potosí, the main streets in the center of the city are blocked by trade unions and civic groups and people are walking to their sources of work.

El Potosí reported that although vehicular traffic and commercial activity, especially informal, took place on the streets in the early hours of the morning, motorized vehicle traffic through the city center decreased as the morning progressed around 9:00 a.m.
