Ministry of Justice and UN in Bolivia sign agreements in support of judicial reform in the country

The Ministry of Justice and Institutional Transparency and the United Nations system in Bolivia signed a declaration of intent and cooperation on Friday to support the judicial reform process in the country with international experts and dialogue processes.

The signing of the document was attended by the head of justice Iván Lima and the resident coordinator of the United Nations system in Bolivia, Susana Sottoli.

According to publications on Twitter, the international body reported that the agreement is part of the UN peacebuilding initiative launched in 2019 to promote dialogue, democratic empowerment and human rights in the country.

“This agreement is part of the UN Peacebuilding Initiative, which began in 2019 and follows on from UN Bolivia’s actions to promote dialogue, strengthen democracy and human rights in the country. (sic) ”, it says in another publication.

Through the agreement, the United Nations expressed its commitment to contribute to an inclusive and participatory judicial reform process based on national and international best practices.
