The daughter of Angélica Sosa, the former mayor of Santa Cruz, will return 10,000 Bolivians paid by the community for an internship in 2016, said the family lawyer, Xerxes Justiniano.
In March and April 2016, Sosa’s daughter completed an internship at the city council of Santa Cruz de la Sierra.
Justiniano told Unitel on Thursday that the former mayor’s daughter is going through the recovered amount procedures to avoid speculation.
He confirmed that Sosa’s daughter was receiving 5,000 bolivianos a month. “We will write a letter to the bank to make the corresponding deposit into the mayor’s only account, and we will also ask AFP to cancel and return the contributions made during these months on behalf of the mayor’s office,” the lawyer told im Network Unitel.
Camila Perovic Sosa entered the mayor’s office as an intern to complete an academic requirement established by a foreign university where she studied civil engineering.
The link between the former mayor’s relatives and the community was also exposed by Javier Cedeño, former mayor’s director of human resources, who is in preventive detention in Palmasola, according to El Deber.
