La Paz: You are calling for an indefinite strike and demonstrations against the vaccination card

The Single Departmental Federation of Peasant Workers of La Paz Department “Tupaj Katari” and “Bartolina Sisa” called an indefinite general strike with mobilizations and blockades in the city of La Paz this Friday to demand the repeal of Supreme Decrees 4640 and 4641.

A statement announced that the pressure measures would begin this Monday, January 17, beginning at 00:00; Consequently, according to the document, their calls for the repeal of decrees 4640 and 4641, which require carrying the vaccination card against Covid-19 or a recent negative PCR test to enter establishments with gatherings of people, would not have been heard. ; and the firing of Health and Sports Secretary Jeyson Auza.

“We call on all social organizations in La Paz department to join the indefinite general strike and mobilizations against the decrees that violate our human rights,” the document said.

For his part, Auza reported this morning that negotiations are being held with social organizations to make such supreme decrees more flexible.
