The executive secretary of the El Alto Regional Union of Trade Unions, Toño Siñani, on Tuesday called on the government to provide “economic compensation” to people who died of Covid-19, despite being vaccinated with the first, second and third dose. He said that the government is making vaccinations mandatory through enactments.
“Today we realize that there are colleagues who are vaccinated and die, the government should clarify why there are colleagues (…) who die despite the first, second and third vaccination dose because the government is binding” according to his supreme decree, then, as the government enforces vaccination to provide compensation to dying colleagues, “he said.
He pointed out that the compensation for all economic expenses of the relatives for the purchase of medicines, intensive care and the funeral should be granted.
The leader ratified the motion to repeal Decrees 4640 and 4641 – which require vaccination cards to be presented for travel and access to public and private facilities – and the resignation of Health Secretary Jeyson Auza, otherwise they will take pressures such as roadblocks.
“We ratify and we are very sure to call for the repeal of Supreme Decree 4641 and the resignation of the Minister of Health. It still stands because he made a mistake in several things,” said Siñani.
