Vice Minister for Regular Education, Bartolomé Puma, announced that students will have to take classes Monday to Saturday from August to October. According to the authority, this determination serves to ensure compliance with the specified number of hours for school activities.
“Classes take place on two Saturdays in August, two Saturdays in September and one Saturday in October,” Puma said in an interview with Unitel.
However, he made it clear that the subject of the timetables and the modalities of teaching depend on the internal organization of each educational unit.
With this in mind, Minister of Education Adrián Quelca guaranteed that the students would not attend classes until Christmas.
From this Monday, the pupils resumed school operations with extended winter hours and in various modalities: face-to-face, mixed and at a distance.
