The Andean Association of Drivers of El Alto declared itself in a state of emergency and rejected the law against the legitimation of illegal profits. The leader of the sector, Víctor Tarqui, warned of a violent strike and 72 hours were given to cancel.
The leaders even assured that if they do not receive responses, they will block the city streets.
“We have declared ourselves a state of emergency and we are firmly against this bill because it is totally threatening. There are already laws against drug traffickers and money laundering, absolutely all laws and they cannot fool us,” said Tarqui.
Several sectors are currently opposed to the law, including the El Alto unions that marched in La Paz yesterday.
