Foreign Minister Rogelio Mayta condemned before the international community that opposition political parties, together with the citizens’ committees of the departments and related platforms, have deliberately launched a campaign of disinformation, falsehood and misrepresentation of the content of Law 1386 “National Strategy Against Illegal Profit Legitimation and Financing of Terrorism”, to repeat the script of the “Coup d’état” from 2019.

It indicated that the establishment of blockades, roads and highways and the intimidation of citizens trying to go about their daily activities is a blatant violation of the right to freedom of movement, access to education, work and health, even more so in times of globalization Health crisis “even go so far that they publicly incite the overthrow of the democratically elected government with broad support from the Bolivian population”.
The national government urges the international community, international organizations and human rights defenders to oppose any kind of violent act that threatens democracy, the rule of law and the constitutional government, the foreign minister said in his press release, in which he did not answer questions from reporters.
