Chamber of Deputies sets up session to repeal Law 1386

At around 6.30 p.m., the Chamber of Deputies convened the ordinary session in which it will debate the project to repeal Law 1386 on the Strategy to Combat the Legitimation of Illicit Profits.

“In our second session of the House of Representatives of the 2021-2022 legislature, the waiver of processing was approved by an absolute majority and the provisional room was entered for the Constitutional Commission to review the relevant report on the PL (draft law) repeal,” tweeted the president of the Chamber of Deputies Freddy Mamani.

The MAS guaranteed that Law 1386 would be repealed; However, unions, transport companies and citizens’ groups will keep pressure on them until the repeal of the law is formalized.
