Bolivia reports 2,119 cases of Covid-19 and Santa Cruz has the highest number in the fourth wave

The Ministry of Health reported 2,376 new infections from Covid-19 this Tuesday, of which 1,493 are in Santa Cruz, a record since the first cases were discovered in March 2020.

“This fourth wave today is the worst moment of epidemiological turmoil,” affirmed the head of epidemiology at the Santa Cruz headquarters, Carlos Hurtado.

Meanwhile, Cochabamba reported 201 new cases, one of the highest reported spikes in the fourth wave.

La Paz added 168; Chuquisaca, 78; Tarija, 278; Potosí, 21; Oruro, 40; Beni, 27, and Pando, 70.

The government report found that today 1,006 patients have recovered and 21 people have lost their lives due to the disease.

The number of cumulative cases reaches 568,967, of which 513,729 people overcame the disease and 19,480 died.
