Arce spoke to Boric about

President Luis Arce had a telephone conversation with the elected President of Chile, Gabriel Boric, with whom he agreed on the need to “deepen a bilateral agenda” for the benefit of both countries.

“We had a pleasant telephone conversation with the brother-elect of Chile, Gabriel Boricc, with whom we agreed on the need for a bilateral agenda for the benefit of our peoples. Latin American integration is being strengthened,” Arce wrote on his social networks.

Boric was elected President of Chile after winning 55.8% of the vote against the right-wing extremist José Antonio Kast (44.1%) in the second ballot on December 19.

Relations between Bolivia and Chile were distant after the negative ruling by the International Court of Justice in The Hague for the maritime dispute.

However, in recent months there has been an intention of the Arce government and President Sebastian Piñera to resume dialogue to discuss an agenda that will benefit both countries.
