Former President Jeanine Áñez prevented Amparo Carvajal, President of the Permanent Assembly of Human Rights of Bolviien (Apdhb), from visiting Miraflores Prison this Friday.
“Jeanine Áñez denounces the fact that the President of the Human Rights Assembly, Amparo Carvajal, is prevented from visiting her to check her status by lying to her that she doesn’t want to see her but allows strangers to do so without her consent Break in room. ” “Reads the publication on the ex-president’s social media, which is managed by relatives.
The ex-president accompanied the mail with a handwritten letter in which she indicated that yesterday a person she did not know entered the prison to visit her, but was not told that it was also Amparo Carvajal.
“Yesterday I presented him with a letter of complaint because they had entered the room I live in without my consent from a person I do not know, allegedly from (from) the human rights institution Beni,” Áñeza wrote.
He said Carvajal went to jail too, but the ex-president was not notified. “If it had been announced, I would have received it,” wrote Áñez.
“But to my surprise, they did not notify me because I had received it as I had asked for an interview with her for a long time,” he said.
“You are violating my right to receive representatives from institutions that protect people’s human rights,” he wrote.
