After the raid in Comcipo, the citizens of Santa Cruz and their opponents refuse to allow the police to intervene

After the raid on the offices of the Comité Civico Potosinista (Comcipo) and the transfer of police contingents from six departments to Potosí, the Santa Cruz Committee convened the national citizens’ movement for an emergency meeting and the opposition groups Creemos and Comunidad Ciudadana declined to intervene.

“We oppose and condemn these abusive and persecutory acts that are typical of a tyrannical and dictatorial government that intimidates the people for defending democracy, the rights and freedoms of the people,” a statement by the citizens of Santa Cruz said .

For their part, the banks of Creemos and Comunidad Ciudadana refused to allow the police to intervene against civilians.
