A colonel is finally released: two police officers sanctioned for the 2019 uprising

Yesterday, the Police Disciplinary Court ordered the final dismissal of Colonel Nelson Flores, a former Cochabamba UTOP member, in the trial opened by the 2019 police riot, Vice Home Secretary Nelson Cox reported.

“Last night, former commandant general Yuri Calderón was sanctioned and Lieutenant Colonel Nelson Flores are the first two to be released. And based on that, we still have 20 cases in the disciplinary court, ”said Cox in Cochabamba.

The Vice Minister confirmed that the preliminary investigation through which both people were released “resulted from failure to comply with the provisions of Law 101 because they were instigators of a police riot. They damaged public services ”.
